Community Engagement
Potter Law exists to build bridges in your community to cultivate a support network that protects educational access for all students and teaches institutions how to comply with the law while fostering an environment where an individual’s success is a success for everyone.
As a means of updating communities on new developments in education law, Nancy offers training, advocacy materials, and technical assistance to K-12 and post-secondary schools, parent and student groups, lawyers, activists, government officials, and service providers. She is a frequent guest lecturer at area universities and law schools, teaching continuing legal education courses, including current developments in Title IX, school law updates, juvenile delinquency law, youth rights, and more.
Outside of the institutional setting, Nancy has hosted “Know Your Rights” workshops for students and parents, as well as community seminars to organize youth. She has given countless presentations, ranging from Title IX, academic integrity, rights of transition age youth to early intervention, mental health, and special education law.
Potter Law knows community is the key to creating systemic change, so when we work together, we are working toward education justice for one and for all.
